This three-session course will support practitioners to consider how they can identify SEND, assess needs, and plan for interventions in the early years. It will also support practitioners in their understanding of SEND processes in Milton Keynes.

To help make our Grotto experience as accessible as possible to any families who may require any additional support, we are offering exclusive SEN sessions.

These sessions will be the same unique Grotto experience you would expect from Frosts, with some small adaptations to welcome those with any additional needs. This includes smaller groups of people, reduced lighting and sound, and less display furniture making it easily accessible for all.

Woburn Sands & Willington sessions:

Relaxed Screenings

These screenings have sensory friendly adjustments which aim to reduce over-stimulation and create a relaxed and welcoming environment. Tickets are limited to reduce the number of people in the cinema and visitors are free to move around the space as needed. No trailers are shown and the hand dryers in the Sky Room toilets are switched off. Sensory Scout Kits, inclusive of ear defenders, will be available upon arrival.

Join the fun and come along to an exclusive SEN ice skate. Everyone can enjoy the ice and can either use traditional skates or twin bladed ice skates for added stability. Carers or accompanying adults can use traditional ice skates or over shoe grippers.

One carer is FREE with any child or adult with SEN. Additional adults will be charged at £8.00/£16.00 for our off peak/peak times. We have dolphin skating aids available to hire for the session. Wheel chairs will be allowed on the ice for our SEN sessions.

Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Workshop by the Milton Keynes SEND IAS Service

For parents and carers of children and young people with a special educational needs or disability. This workshop is for families living in Milton Keynes.

What is an EHCP? When is it appropriate to apply for a needs assessment for an EHCP? What provision will be offered? Find out about the EHCP process and what’s included in an EHCP.

Places must be pre-booked.
