Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA): Putting MK guidance into practice in your school context. 

Course summary: 

Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) is a term used to describe a group of children and young people who experience significant challenges in attending school due to emotional factors, often related to feelings of fear and anxiety.

We support groups and individuals to challenge themselves and promote healthy lifestyle activities. We try and support as many people as possible to try climbing through our regular events, work with charities and groups, and through 1:1 activities.

Our friendly instructors are always on hand to help people climb at Climb Quest Milton Keynes.

Relaxed Screenings

These screenings have sensory friendly adjustments which aim to reduce over-stimulation and create a relaxed and welcoming environment. Tickets are limited to reduce the number of people in the cinema and visitors are free to move around the space as needed. No trailers are shown and the hand dryers in the Sky Room toilets are switched off. Sensory Scout Kits, inclusive of ear defenders, will be available upon arrival.

Does your child need extra support with their learning? The SEND Code of Practice says that Schools should follow a graduated approach to identify children who are in need of support and to assess, monitor and secure appropriate support. This workshop provides information on what this might look like in an educational setting and how that setting should support a young person if they don't have an EHCP

Writing Outcomes 

Course summary:  

The SEND code of Practice (2014) refers to an outcome as follows; 

“An outcome can be defined as the benefit or difference made to an individual as a result of an intervention.”  (Section 9.66) 

Outcomes are the opportunity for everyone involved in the child’s support to plan realistic steps that are needed to enable the child or young person to achieve longer term goals and aspirations.

Gravity SENSORY SESSION



The freedom to fly with confidence at Gravity



60 minute whole park session



The lights come up and the sounds go down at our relaxed SEN sessions when the whole Gravity park is open exclusively for members of recognised disabled groups.





GRAVITY safety socks are an important part of our safety procedures - everyone participating MUST wear them at all times.
