IPA Family Celebration Day!

 

The MK Gallery Inclusive Practice in the Arts team would love to invite you to our IPA Family Celebration Day, a day packed full of super fun events for all the family, designed especially with those who have additional and complex support needs in mind. We are celebrating 6 magical years of delivering our programme of award-winning events for our community here in Milton Keynes, and would love to welcome you on this special day!

Did you know that trampolining has been shown to help with a wide range of sensory, developmental and physical disabilities? And apart from that, it provides lots of great fun! In our SEN sessions, the whole park and its facilities are made exclusively available to members of recognised disabled groups and societies and caters to offer support for a wide range of disabilities.

Sunday 3 November 2024 10.00am to 10.00am

An inclusive session for anyone that finds daily life that little bit harder. With lower lighting levels and calmer music, the Special Educational Needs session is suitable for ages 2+ (ages 2 – 4 must always be supervised on a 1:1 basis). One carer goes FREE with every paying participant. Siblings are able to also be booked on to this session regardless of their ability.

An introduction to Autism and how it may present in children aged 2-5 years, including strategies and resources to support communication and interaction, developing early learning skills and positive behaviour management.

Course Summary:

This three-session course will support practitioners to consider how they can identify SEND, assess needs, and plan for interventions in the early years. It will also support practitioners in their understanding of SEND processes in Milton Keynes.
