We support groups and individuals to challenge themselves and promote healthy lifestyle activities. We try and support as many people as possible to try climbing through our regular events, work with charities and groups, and through 1:1 activities.

Our friendly instructors are always on hand to help people climb at Climb Quest Milton Keynes.

Gravity SENSORY SESSION

The freedom to fly with confidence at Gravity

60 minute whole park session

The lights come up and the sounds go down at our relaxed SEN sessions when the whole Gravity park is open exclusively for members of recognised disabled groups.

GRAVITY safety socks are an important part of our safety procedures - everyone participating MUST wear them at all times.

Did you know that trampolining has been shown to help with a wide range of sensory, developmental and physical disabilities? And apart from that, it provides lots of great fun! In our SEN sessions, the whole park and its facilities are made exclusively available to members of recognised disabled groups and societies and caters to offer support for a wide range of disabilities.

Sunday 24 March 2024 10.00am to 11.00am

An inclusive SEN session in our Milton Keynes inflatable park for anyone that finds daily life that little bit harder. This could include those with autism, learning difficulties or physical disability.

With lower lighting levels and calmer music in our Inflatable Park. The Special Educational Needs session is suitable for ages 2+ (ages 2 – 5 must always be supervised on a 1:1 basis). One carer goes FREE with every paying participant.

Monday 25 March 2024 9.30am to 11.00am

Understanding and Effectively Supporting ASC in the Early Years. 

Course summary: 

An introduction to Autism and how it may present in primary aged children, including strategies and resources to support anxiety, routines, 

communication and interaction. 

Trainers: 

Members of the SEND Team- Inclusion Specialist Teaching Team 

Course content: 

Session 1: 

  • Become familiar with ASC and how this can present in young children 

Wednesday 27 March 2024 10.00am to 11.00am

 

Our inclusive SEND (special educational needs and disability) splash swim session includes exclusive use of the whole pool with toys, free play and lowered music levels for one hour. With easy access to the pool, with both ladder and ramp access. These sessions are perfect for children and family or careers to attend.

Every Wednesday 10am – 11am and last Saturday of each month 4pm – 5pm

Inclusive Musical Fun for Children and Young Adults with Additional Needs and their Carers

A huge range of music, lots of bubbles, the parachute and a variety of props, in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

Understanding and Effectively Supporting Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) in Secondary schools. 

Course summary: 

The sessions will focus on communication and interaction, using structure to support learning for individuals with ASC in Secondary school settings 

Trainers: 

Members of the SEND Team- Inclusion Specialist Teaching Team 

Course content: 

  • An overview of Autism 

  • Focussing on specific areas to support young people with ASC in secondary school 

Thursday 28 March 2024 1.00pm to 3.00pm

Course summary: Precision Teaching (Monitoring) is a structured, systematic way of planning, monitoring, and evaluating progress. It supports and develops the accuracy and fluency of reading, spelling, and Maths skills.

Which pupils will it benefit?

• Pupils who know something one day and not the next day, or the week after.

• Pupils who are struggling to make progress in reading words, spelling, and basic Maths skills. Course Content:

Session 1:

• An overview of Precision Teaching (monitoring)

• Theory underpinning Precision Teaching

Autism In Teenagers

Parent and carer programme with Specialist Teachers and Educational Psychologists

These sessions will be delivered via Microsoft Teams, an invite will be sent to your email address. You do not have to attend all of the workshops – once the invites are sent out just choose which sessions you would like to attend.

Relaxed Screenings

These screenings have sensory-friendly adjustments which aim to reduce over-stimulation and create a relaxed and welcoming environment. Tickets are limited to reduce the number of people in the cinema and visitors are free to move around the space as needed. No trailers are shown and the hand dryers in the Sky Room toilets are switched off. Sensory Scout Kits, inclusive of ear defenders, will be available upon arrival.
