Special provision fund allocations
This funding presents an opportunity to support some of the systemic changes needed to achieve a sustained SEND strategy in MK and supports priority aims of the High Needs Review:
- to increase the number of children and young people who are successfully included in mainstream provision across Milton Keynes
- refocus specialist provision to ensure the most efficient use of resources for the children and young people with the highest level of need
Schools were invited to express an interest and these expressions have been analysed alongside school population, demand in places for special school places and the priorities of the SEND Strategy. The priorities balance the need to increase capacity within mainstream provision as well as ensuring sufficient specialist places alongside the school population growth in MK.
Education Other That At School (EOTAS)
Education other than at school (EOTAS) means the education or special educational provision of children or young people outside of a formal educational setting.
